How many of us know that our dear actor's screen name is Dhanush and real name in Venkatesh Prabhu. He was born to eminent director and producer Kasthuri Raja. Thulluvadho Ilamai marks the beginning of Dhanush's career and there was no looking back ever-since. He acted in over 25 films and received many awards and accolades.

Dhanush won the best actor award at the 58th national film awards for his performance in Aadukalam. He won 3 national film awards and 7 film fare awards. His recents flicks include 3, maryan, vai raja vai and thangamagan.

He loves to sing and received huge applause for his song 'Why this kolaveri Di' composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

He exhibited his charm in Bollywood too with the film Raanjhanaa and needless to say it turned out to be a hit.
