In the run up to the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections scheduled for 2017, the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress have engaged in a poster war. The BJP put up a poster in which local MP Yogi Adityanath is seen riding a tiger and Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, BSP chief Mayawati and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi riding donkeys.
